Notification or permit
Solar systems require a notification. In the protected zone and on listed buildings a permit is required.
Subsidies
The federal government pays a one-off contribution via Pronovo. The canton of Basel-Stadt adds its own subsidy, the amount depends on the system and is clarified in the call.
What we notice here
Part of the canton of Basel-Stadt, which subsidises solar on top of the federal payment. Many well-kept pitched-roof family homes, parts of the village core are protected.
Why not just use a comparison portal?
On the big portals your enquiry goes to several companies at once. Then the phone rings three times a day and you explain the same thing three times.
Dachsonne does it differently. Your enquiry goes to a single installer from the Basel region, with its own installation team and experience with the roofs, permits and subsidy schemes here. You get one contact person who stays the same on the phone, at the site visit and for the quote.
If solar does not pay off on your roof, they will tell you so. Then it was a short conversation, nothing more.
